Getting makeup stains out of clothes: Tip of the Day 7-22-22
Makeup stains do not make the most favorable fashion statements. At some point, getting makeup on your outfit of the day is bound to happen. When it happens at fashion shows, makeup artists have a few tricks for lifting those stains before they set in.

When using makeup wipes to remove makeup stains, gently blot the stain until it lifts. This hack works best if performed before the stain has had time to set. The sooner, the better.
Rubbing alcohol breaks down oily and waxy stains like lipstick and foundation. Alcohol can damage delicate fabrics like silk or suede, so either do a patch test, or only use alcohol on cotton fabrics. After soaking a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol, gently blot the stain and wipe until the stain lifts. Again, the sooner, the better.
Hairspray works similarly to rubbing alcohol. This won’t work if your hairspray doesn’t contain alcohol. After spraying the stain, allow the spray to dry before wiping the stain away with a wet wipe. This also works best on cotton fabrics.
*Bonus tip: Ice and cold water can also help lift a stain. Rubbing ice vigorously over a fresh stain sometimes does the trick. Hot water can actually spread the stain, so only use cold water (and a tiny bit of soap if necessary) when spot treating a makeup stain.
