Moisturizer before perfume: Tip of the Day 8-15-22

Finding a perfume that “stays with you” without being overwhelming may seem tricky. I found a wonderful new fragrance recently, but it seems like it wears off extremely fast. Experts say there’s a hack for that!

Experts say clean dry skin does open up better to receive fragrance. But, moisturizer gives the scent a little something extra to hold onto. If you’re having to reapply perfume more frequently than you like, try oiling up first, or using a body cream.

Bonus tip: Applying Vaseline to pulse points (wrists, base of neck, behind ears) works wonders for holding fragrance in place. Use just a dab of both!
