Thinner towels help reduce body acne: Tip of the Day 7-28-22
Plenty of people use their bath towel more than once before running it through the washing machine. (FYI, experts say, washing towels doesn’t guarantee to get them fully clean.) This isn’t welcoming news, especially for people struggling with body acne. If you’re using products to address body acne, experts say changing the fluffiness of your towel can help.

In an article for HuffPost, Dr. Manish Shah explains, “You want something that’s not a dish towel, not super thin, but sort of medium thickness & doesn’t have as much of a plush to it… Choose something that doesn’t necessarily have a lot of fiber in it, and doesn’t necessarily have too many nooks and crannies for the bacteria to hold on.”
Dr. Shah suggests using silver infused towels like the ones made by Silvon. You can also buy silver-infused workout gear.
