Turmeric Mask benefits: Tip of the Day 8-31-22
If there’s a such thing as a spice that does it all, turmeric has got to be it (or come darn close). Researchers say turmeric provides numerous benefits when taken orally and applied topically. If oily, acne-prone skin is stressing you, turmeric may become your favorite new skin topical.

Many like to apply turmeric because of its ability to minimize hyperpigmentation. Researchers say turmeric has been reported to help with eczema, psoriasis, acne, and wound healing.
A turmeric mask offers anti-aging benefits since it can help to slow down the skin's aging process. When used regularly, turmeric helps diminish wrinkles, keep skin supple, and improve skin elasticity.
If you’re looking to fade dark spots, give yourself at least 8 weeks of consistency (applying your turmeric mask 2-3 times a week) to see best results.
Bonus tip: For a DIY mask, add about 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey and a pinch of ground turmeric. Optionally, add3 tablespoons of orange juice and apply the paste to your face. (The orange juice provides fruit acid to clear blemishes, but isn’t necessary). Leave on for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Repeat 2-3 times a week.
Bonus tip #2: Turmeric can be staining on clothes and countertops. To lift the yellow staining from counters and tubs, spray with isopropyl alcohol. Works like a charm.
